I was initially hired to support the Merchandising and Sales teams under temporary contract, but soon went full time and was promoted to head of Digital Merchandising at Bulletin.
I was tasked with placing brands and products in front of retailers to increase sales. One half of my role focused on compiling and analyzing sales reports, consumer trends, shopping habits in Mixpanel and Google Analytics. The other half challenged my creativity through building unique collections, curating the entire platform in Figma, and developing fun and relevant campaigns based on all of my research. Oh, and launch said campaigns and collections every single week to keep the marketplace fresh and exciting!
Working with a small, dynamic, fast-paced gave me the opportunity to collaborate closely across teams and own my creativity. I often stepped out of my role to contribute elsewhere including constantly making improvements to the UX of our proprietary platform and developing marketing campaigns.
Within my first year, sales at Bulletin almost doubled. Bulletin was eventually acquired by Emerald X, a publicly traded trade show corporation. My team was brought on to spice up and rebrand NY NOW while continuing to grow our online marketplace.
